Around Luang Prabang - Hill tribe trek

After 3 hours of biking on Sunday, we switched to trekking on Monday, and kayaking on Tuesday.
We trekked to 2 hill tribe villages and spent the night in one of them. Yes, another bamboo hut without electricity in the middle of the jungle. Overnight it rained and the path back became extremely muddy. We were glad to get to our kayak. After 3 hours of paddling through rapids and some peaceful and beautiful scenery we arrived back in Luang Prabang.
Tomorrow is our last day in Luang Prabang. We'll be sad to leave.

I thought you guys were on vacation, what's with the biking, trekking.....

On a separate note, there is a new wine bar on 2nd ave and 53rd which serves wine from the M Torino vineyard!

Biking, walking, paddling, that's vacation!
Sitting in front of computer, that's work.
I'm so glad to hear there is a wine bar nearby, and that it serves good wine. The malbec is the best. Try "Don David".
Great to hear from you.
